Colorado LASIK

Can you imagine not needing your glasses or contacts ever again? To be able to go about daily activities without being dependent? Go biking, running, skiing, playing, and more all without the inconvenience of corrective lenses. This is to experience true freedom.

Levinson Eye Clinic offers the best Colorado LASIK procedures available. Dr. Richard Levinson himself graduated from the University of Colorado School of Engineering in 1971, before continuing on to earn his Doctor of Medicine Degree from the University of Colorado School of Medicine in 1975. After that, he completed his residency training in Ophthalmology at the University of Colorado Medical Center, and has been in Private Practice in Denver since 1979, as a fully Board Certified Eye Surgeon.

Having successfully performed thousands of safe and effective LASIK operations since the procedure was FDA approved in 1995, Levinson Eye Clinic has established a reputation as the most friendly and most efficient Colorado LASIK center there is. Indeed, we were one of the first clinics performing these procedures in Denver.

Historically, LASIK has yielded some truly fantastic results. Utilizing a Excimer Laser, the cornea is reshaped from its deformed state. A thin flap of corneal tissue is then lifted up and the laser is used to correct the cornea on the underlying bed, and the flap is replaced. More than 98 percent of the treatments are performed successfully, and those complications that do arise are easily remedied. Over 95 percent of adults who wear prescription eye glasses or contacts stand to potentially benefit from the procedure.

While it is a truly advanced operation and has presented some miraculous results, LASIK isn’t perfect. Not all patients are 100% satisfied with their experience. There is a less than 5 percent chance that even after surgery you may sill have to wear mild corrective lenses. Glare after LASIK can be annoying, but it usually disappears on its own after three to six months. Patients over 40 must accept that their eyes are aging, and will lose close vision abilities to a varying degree. Dryness of the eyes is common after the procedure, but also lasts only about two or three months. No matter how miraculous LASIK is, it still takes time to adjust. Think of it as getting a new pair of wonder glasses.

If you have reasonable expectations, getting Colorado Custom LASIK Vision Correction can be one of the most valuable gifts you will ever give yourself.
